The Checkmate is the newest addition
to the industry-standard Corrosometer®
Product Line. Using "state of the art"
surface mount integrated circuits, the sophisticated
electronics provides higher resolution and
measurement accuracy of Corrosometer (Electrical
Resistance) corrosion probes.
The Model 4001LT CORROSOMETER®
transmitter and receiver system provides a
single channel stand-alone system. The system
incorporates the Model 4020LT two wire transmitter
and the Model 4021L receiver unit. The receiver
unit is powered by 115 VAC or 230 VAC and
provides the 24 VDC supply for powering the
transmitter's 4-20 mA loop. In addition, the
receiver processes the 4-20 mA signal to provide
a direct digital readout of the cumulative
metal loss and the CORROSOMETER® probe
corrosion rate based on the last 48-hour monitoring
period.
Remote Data Collectors (RDC's) are
used at every probe location where maximum
visibility and sensitivity to corrosion rate
changes are required. Readings of corrosion
and temperature data may be set as frequently
as every five minutes for RDC-COT or every
thirty minutes for RDC-CAT.
Programming of all the RDC's, and data retrieval
from the RDC's is accomplished by a single
Checkmate DL or Mate II for direct transfer
to a portable or desktop P.C. running CORRDATA®
Plus Software. For non-intrinsically safe
applications the RDC may be configured directly
from the PC.
Model 3500 Retractable Process Probes
have a thin walled tubular sensing element
made from the alloy of interest welded onto
a body of the same material. Mild Steel bodies
are Teflon coated. No other materials contact
the corrosive process fluid. Materials of
construction are carefully matched and welds
are vacuum annealed during assembly to avoid
preferential corrosion effects.
Model 3500 Probes provide a large test surface,
excellent dynamic temperature response and
protection of reference element. They are
ideally suited to the more aggressive plant
conditions and may be used in very aggressive
organic or inorganic fluids over the entire
pH range 0-14, subject to process containment
requirements.
Model 3500 Retractable Corrosometer Process
Probes
Wide Range of Retractable Corrosometer
Process Probes
with element thickness up to 40 mils can
be read by any CORROSOMETER® corrosion
monitoring instrument. The rugged probe
body is 316 L Stainless Steel. It may be
used at operating pressures to 6,000 PSI
and temperatures to 5000 C (2600C). These
probes are for use in bottom of the line
applications where corrosive fluids may
accumulate or in lines which are subject
to pigging.
